The MySQL Network Monitoring and Advisory Services debuted in late 2006, and represents more than two years of work by the MySQL engineering team in developing a comprehensive monitoring solution for MySQL database servers. In this tutorial, the entire breadth of the monitoring services will be covered, including demonstration installs on both Linux/Unix and Windows, administration of the service through the service dashboard, discussion of the rule-based analysis that the service performs, and demonstrations of how to create custom rules that fit your own MySQL database network.
