innotop is an advanced monitor for InnoDB internals and MySQL in general. It is a MySQL developer's and administrator's Swiss Army Knife. This session will demonstrate how to use innotop for monitoring and controlling one or many MySQL servers.

• I'll demonstrate innotop's classic "top"-like query monitoring mode, and show you how to sort, filter and colorize the queries to your heart's content.
• I'll show you how to monitor InnoDB transactions, and thin-slice the wealth of information available about them. For example, did you know you can find out how close to finishing an InnoDB query is?
• You can use innotop to view transactions or queries that are locked or waiting for locks, see when your server starts resorting to spinlocks, and more. I'll show you how to view which part of your server's workload is jammed up and what to do about it.
• You can use innotop to monitor replication in real-time across multiple servers simultaneously. I'll show you how.
• Innotop has features to help you control many servers with only a few keystrokes, such as stopping replication or killing queries on many machines at once. I'll demonstrate these abilities.
• You can use innotop to monitor arbitrary status and variable information, such as the number of queries per second, with intuitive expressions like "Questions/Uptime". I'll show you how to define custom views of MySQL's internal status.
• You will learn how to use innotop's unattended monitoring modes to pipe data into other programs for further processing.
