Session

NitroEDB for MySQL Storage Engine

Paul Whittington, Founder and Chief Architect, NitroSecurity, Inc.

Track: Products & Services
Date: Wednesday, April 25
Time: 10:45am - 11:45am
Location: Ballroom H

In this session we will discuss and demonstrate NitroSecurity's MySQL storage engine for extreme volume-performance data analytics. The demonstration will show a one BILLION record table running on a LAPTOP doing insertions faster then you've ever seen, while simultaneously executing GROUP BY queries that return COUNT, SUM, and AVG so fast you'll think we're cheating! THIS IS A MUST SEE!

NitroEDB for MySQL is the only extreme volume-performance storage engine that supports the full spectrum of analytical data management needs from extremely fast in-memory tables to huge-volume very large database (VLDB) on-disk tables.

NitroEDB for MySQL's extreme query-insert speed and data volume handling, frugal hardware requirements, and attractive cost model are far superior to any other commercial or open source analytic data management product available—often providing thousands of times better cost-volume-performance characteristics!

NitroEDB for MySQL’s unique N-Tree indexing technology “nitro-charges” MySQL’s SQL processing by increasing the performance of SELECT statements that utilize SUM, AVG, and STDDEV aggregate functions, and COUNT. Any or all of these can be calculated in the same amount of time as a single index lookup.

The bottom line is, this “no scan” approach results in query response times that are tens, hundreds, and even thousands of times faster than traditional techniques.
